Our Information Technology team is closely integrated with the business, and delivers and supports business development for the company. We are expanding our Information Technology department and are looking to recruit a number of dynamic individuals in a range of technology disciplines. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team who will be at the forefront of technology.

We are currently looking for designer/developers with good experience in the areas of Data Warehousing, BI and Analytics. The role will focus on designing data marts/lakes, ETL and BI reports/analytics. It is a hybrid role where the person will be expected to work on solutions end-to-end, from concept thru design (working directly with the end-users and data analysts) and to work on a team building the solutions, testing them and supporting UAT and rollout. There will be a mixture of “green-field” solutions on new data domains and the re-engineering of data domains that have evolved rather than being designed over the years.

The primary tools in use are Oracle Database 12c, Oracle ODI and OBIEE (along with legacy reports in Discoverer & APEX)

Primary Responsibilities:

•Design of new schemas, data flows and processes

•Develop and support Oracle SQL & Pl/SQL procedures

•Use of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for ETL and OBIEE for Reports, Dashboards & Analytics

•Bring development projects through the complete lifecycle from requirements gathering, specification write-up, through to supporting user-acceptance testing and rollout support

•Support other Team members with their project and enhancement commitments.

Required Skills:

•At least 5 years development in SQL, PL/SQL, on 11g/12c/18c with experience in Data Warehousing / Data Mart / Big Data systems & projects

•Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) for development of reports/dashboards & analytics

•Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for ETL and process orchestration

•Must have worked in a large organization using formal methodologies for the development lifecycle

•Must have good customer service skills, a working knowledge of business processes and be able to communicate effectively with the business at all levels.

•Ability to convert Business Requirements into detailed functional & technical specifications

•Ability to work both independently and as a team player, and enjoy working in an environment that requires continuous learning. Flexible to work out of regular workinghours, if need be.

•Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with strong presentation skills. High level proficiency in English language.

Desired Skills:

•Oracle Application Express (APEX) applications development

•Familiarity with HTML5/CSS3 and JavaScript

•Experience in the development of RESTful web services, JSON, cloud integration with on-premise applications, and integration with consumer-facing Web/Mobile applications

•A distinct advantage would be able to bring Big Data/Data Lake experience along with the knowledge of associated tools (e.g. Hadoop, R, Tableau or other equivalent tools)

Education & Qualifications:

•Third-level qualification in Computer Science or other closely-related discipline
