Junior Test Analyst

Dunnes Stores are looking for a junior test analyst to join their IT Division. Test and QA is a growing function in the IT division and this role will offer experience in testing a multitude of technologies across hardware and software projects, including the opportunity to do some scripting and smaller development yourself.

This role is particularly suited to you if you are starting out on the QA journey. If you have experience from the retail environment at a store level and have experience with technology and enjoy it this might be the perfect role for you.

This role’s responsibilities

• Create test cases to support ongoing project activities and IT releases
• Maintain requirement traceability
• Execute functional, regression and integration test cases
• Report bugs and participate in bug triage sessions
• Investigate issues and monitor bug resolution
• Participate in project meetings, stand-ups and workshops
• Create knowledge-share documentation
• Provide progress reports

The applicant should

• have a degree in IT or a diploma in IT and work experience. Extensive experience working in a store environment as the “go-to” technical expert will also be considered
• be experienced in using within the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Any exposure to other applications and tools will be a plus
• be eager to learn and expand their knowledge
• be interested in working in a very dynamic, fast paced environment
• enjoy working and liaising with people both in person and over communication tools
• be capable of taking directions and working without heavy supervision
• be a good communicator
• enjoy problem solving
• be organised
