An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Grocery Marketing Department for a trading planning manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for all trade planning, advertising, branding and promotional activities for the grocery business. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to convert strategy in to execution. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Trade Marketing Plan and creation of trade marketing annual calendar
  • Work closely with key figures in the business to maintain an accurate trade plan that maximizes sales
  • Create and manage the weekly national promotional strategy
  • Ensure all activity is fully integrated across all brand touch points and coordinated with relevant cross-functional teams
  • Management of the calendar of campaigns, developing effective messaging and marketing collateral
  • Led seasonal event planning and implementation
  • Responsible for media planning and work closely with digital Marketing Manager to align to a digital focused media strategy
  • Champion the brand on all channels of communication, managing relationships with various agencies.
  • Manage the marketing and communications of all new retail stores rolled out or refits
  • Effective budget management and forecasting, always being cost conscious 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Ability to demonstrate a drive for results within a pressurised environment to strict timelines
  • Strong creative skills and extensive experience in developing compelling integrated marketing campaigns
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Experience in managing relationships with stakeholders and agencies
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop
  • Results focused with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to demonstrate innovative approaches taken to address different business challenges
  • A passion for Food
  • Ideally a degree in Business/ Marketing,
