Agile Product Owner – Ecommerce Mobile/Web

Company Overview: 

Dunnes Stores is seeking a passionate and skilled Agile Product Owner to join our vibrant Digital transformation team in Ireland, focusing on impactful product development.  

As an Agile Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in steering our cross-functional teams towards delivering products that meet market needs and exceed customer expectations.  

You will be instrumental in defining the product vision, managing the product backlog, and working closely with Agile teams to ensure a seamless, efficient delivery of product enhancements and innovations. 

Responsibilities: 

• Act as the primary liaison between the business, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the product vision and priorities. 
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the development team has an ongoing stream of work that is aligned with the product strategy and delivers value to customers. 
• Develop and clearly articulate user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring they are well-understood by the development teams. 
• Foster collaboration within cross-functional teams to drive product development, sprint planning, and review meetings within an Agile framework. 
• Gather and incorporate feedback from customers, stakeholders, and the market to refine the product backlog and adjust product direction as needed. 
• Conduct continuous market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of market trends and identify new opportunities for product innovation. 
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product performance and inform decision-making. 
• Advocate for the customer, ensuring that the product delivers a compelling user experience and meets the highest standards of quality. 
• Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting Agile best practices and a culture of continuous improvement. 
• Work closely with Product Managers to align the product vision, strategy, and roadmap with the broader company goals and market opportunities. This partnership ensures that the product backlog reflects strategic priorities and delivers maximum value and ROI to the business. 
• Ensure a seamless flow of communication between the Product Management and development teams. As the Product Owner, you will translate strategic objectives set by Product Managers into actionable tasks and user stories for the development team. 
• Collaborate with Product Managers in defining the scope and objectives for product releases, leveraging their market and customer insights to inform backlog prioritization and product decisions. 
• Participate in regular planning sessions with Product Managers to review market trends, customer feedback, and product performance data. This collaboration helps to refine the product strategy and adjust the development focus as needed. 
• Act as a bridge between the Product Management team and Agile development teams, ensuring that there is a clear understanding of the ‘why’ behind productfeatures and that all teams are aligned on the product goals and objectives. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• 5+ years of experience in product ownership or product management within an Agile development environment. 
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification is highly desirable. 
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a product backlog and prioritize based on value to the customer and the business. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. 
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively. 
• Experience with Agile product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and methodologies. 
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality products to market with a deep understanding of Agile practices and principles. 
• Experience in logistics or e-commerce product development is a plus.
