With our desire to always look at new ways to improve the overall experience we are looking for an Employer Brand Specialist to join the Recruitment team to focus on supporting and developing our Employer Brand. You don’t have to have HR or recruitment experience but ideally you will have 18 months to two years experience working in a creative content creation type role like digital marketing, advertising, communications, Employer brand or similar. This is a hands on role and you will be passionate about building a strong employer brand, with this role will be responsible for supporting the development of a fantastic candidate and employee experience. This is a busy retail environment – you should be able to work at pace, be agile in your approach and thrive on working with your HR and Recruitment colleagues to deliver a great service to our candidates, employees and hiring managers.

Key tasks:

The Employer Brand Specialist will report to the Head of Recruitment while also supporting and partnering with the HR function. The role will be fully responsible for managing and developing all elements of the Employer brand along both the candidate and employee journey.

Employer Brand Development:

  • Support the content development and creation for all recruitment needs including, website, collateral, hiring campaigns, job descriptions and suggesting new ways to engage talent etc.
  • Provide Employer Brand Support to the recruitment team with large seasonal recruitment campaigns and individual targeted campaigns.
  • Support the development of an internal recruitment process with an appropriate Employer Brand approach.
  • Responsible for managing, updating, monitoring and reporting on the corporate recruitment and employer brand website.
  • Manage and drive engagement of the approved corporate recruitment social media platforms including linkedin.
  • Work with and leverage external vendors to design and develop the appropriate content for approved campaigns or projects.
  • Coordinate and support Employer Branding events both internally and externally.
  • Support the HR team in culture, employee value proposition development and employer brand development projects.
  • Partner with key stakeholders on key messaging and communication needs including supporting the scripting and writing of any internal communications and corporate messaging.
  • Build awareness of the competitor landscape by regular competitor analysis and review of own brand.
  • Constantly evolve and develop the employer brand by providing new fresh innovative thinking on both content and approaches.
  • Identify, develop, Track and measure progress on the development of the employer brand using the most relevant metrics to define success.

Employee Experience:

  • Define the various employee and candidate profile journeys and the relevant touch-points
  • Assess the current candidate and employee experiences and propose changes to improve the processes.
  • Work with key stakeholders to gather feedback on the Employee and Candidate Experiences suggesting improvements. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 18 months to 2 years working in a marketing, Digital marketing, advertising, employer brand, or related role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, marketing, advertising or related fields from an accredited university or college desired but not essential.
  • Ability to create content with Microsoft office packages and although not essential experience using modern design and CRM tools is a plus (Canva, Beamery, iMovie, etc).
  • Extensive knowledge of social media, with experience of managing website content and working with Google analytics an advantage
  • A keen interest and passion for building a strong employer branding, and a track record of building engaging marketing content either in personal or professional capacity.
  • Creative, an eye for detail and great organisation skills,
  • Passion for creative writing, storytelling, and developing unique, original content for various audiences.
  • Experience in writing social copy, email campaigns, and blog posts.
  • Ability to work on own initiative or to influence and project manage multiple stakeholders - track record of success working on a team to drive project completion.
  • Enthusiastic attitude and adaptability in a fast-moving environment
