Assistant Accountant (HOSPITALITY AND SUBSIDIARIES)

We are Irish owned and operate over 130 stores across Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Spain, as well as a growing online store.  We are expanding our service and product offering for our customers all the time.

An exciting opportunity to work in the Finance Section of our Hospitality and Subsidiaries Department. The successful candidate will be a qualified or newly qualified Accountant looking to further their career in finance. The role is varied and requires a flexible and adaptable quick learner. Full training will be provided but some experience in finance and administration would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily and weekly reporting on sales, margin, waste across several different brands within the hospitality department
  • Assistance with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Supporting with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Responsible for financial analysis and reporting using both Oracle and Excel systems
  • Completion of various regular and ad-hoc administration duties, helping with any ad-hoc projects as when required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Keeping up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices

Skills/Experience

  • Ideal candidate will be a recently qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Proficient in excel is desired but not essential.
  • Experience working with Oracle or similar finance systems would be an advantage
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Possess a strong commercial mind set
  • The ability to work under tight and pressurised deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels with an organisation.
